If you're getting a bumpier-than-normal ride, strange noises, or the vehicle doesn't handle as it should, then maybe it's time for suspension repair. At German Auto Service, our gurus will help diagnose and repair any suspension problem in your German car model. From basic adjustment to the total spectrum of system overhauls, each factory-trained technician has the right tools and knows how to get things back on track. Here are five common suspension problems we see and how to resolve them.

WARN SHOCK ABSORBERS

Shock absorbers dampen the vibration, or rather, rebound movement of your vehicle's springs and suspension. As time passes, these components wear out. This leads to the shock can be pretty bumpy and uncomfortable. Some signs that shocks are worn out include excessive bouncing after hitting a bump, uneven tire wear, and dipping forward by rocking back when braking. These symptoms, if not heeded, can lead to more severe damage to your suspension system and tires.

COIL SPRING BREAKAGES

Coil springs support the weight of the vehicle while also cushioning road impacts, making it possible and comfortable to ride instability. However, coil springs can break due to rust, fatigue, or excessive stress. If this happens, then you will know a broken coil spring when your car sags on one side, produces clunking sounds, and generally exhibits poor handling.

WORN BALL JOINTS

Ball joints are the components connecting your vehicle's control arms to steering knuckles. They help to enable smooth movement of the suspension for motion control. Over time, these joints wear out due to continuous motion and lack of lubrication. The symptoms of a ball joint worn out include clunking noises on turns, uneven tire wear, and loose or unstable steering.

LEAKING STRUTS

Struts can be described as an essential component of your suspension system, as they decidedly combine shock absorbers with coil spring backup to sustain the weight of your vehicle and absorb all shocks. If struts are found to leak, when compared with a normal leaking strut, this will result in quite a big impact on how an individual's car handles and its stability, along with affecting the comfort of the ride. Among other common indications, some are fluid on the strut's outer side, bouncy ride, and uneven wear of tires.

MISALIGNED SUSPENSION

Basically, suspension misalignment is when your wheel angles fail to align with the vehicle manufacturer's specifications. This annoying issue can often be caused by hitting a curb, a pothole, or some other road hazard. The effects of such misaligned suspension would be uneven tire wear with steering pull and reduced fuel efficiency.
